Ari House

At the rear of Ari House, a meticulous intervention unfolded: a curved retaining wall, crafted by hand, integrating a built-in bench and planter into a single continuous piece. A formally serene yet technically complex solution.
The main challenge was to define an effective insulation system to protect the structure from future leaks caused by natural root growth.
To achieve this, a layered strategy was designed: careful waterproofing, technical insulation, and interior protection with durable materials.
Raising the ground level required a lightweight structural solution. A lightweight formwork and low-density concrete slab were chosen to ensure stability without overloading the original structure.

Each tile was meticulously planned and hand-laid with artisanal precision. The intervention was completed by crafting two custom structural supports for a hanging hammock, and a final coat of paint unified all the elements, sealing the gesture.
A terrace that stops being a mere backdrop to become a leading space: functional, durable, and full of intention.

Inside, natural wall coverings and paintwork frame the transition toward the exterior.
