n this three-story home, located in a serene coastal area, the construction intervention was complete yet deeply respectful. It preserved original elements such as the staircase railing and the layout.
The two bathrooms and the half-bath were entirely transformed: we removed bathtubs to create walk-in showers fully clad in microcement, with integrated slopes and hidden drainage solutions. The staircase was addressed step by step: solidified, trimmed, with 90-degree edges—a precise operation to ensure continuity without adding visual weight.
We removed the baseboards throughout the house, repairing the joint between wall and floor to allow the floors and stairs to be coated in microcement, creating a continuous, sober, and fluid layer that connects all levels—except for the entrance, half-bath, kitchen, and laundry room, where we handcrafted 13×13 cm ceramic tiles in green and white.

We created two passage areas with semicircular arches. In the living room, we built a fixed bench that functions as integrated furniture, adding both practicality and volume. The doors were custom-made, blending seamlessly with original elements such as the built-in cabinets and window shutters, which we meticulously restored.
The paint, applied to walls and ceilings in the same tone as the microcement, unifies the space and enhances its calm atmosphere. Every construction decision was made in close dialogue with Somos Nido, resulting in a meticulously coordinated project.
A renovation that doesn’t shout, yet transforms. One that respects the house’s history while confidently guiding it toward a new serenity.
